To those of interest,
This was the sixteenth week of the season and the sixteenth report. For the week of September 3rd, the total sales were $1,497.00 vs. $2,687.00, the week before, for a decline of $1,190.00. For the same week last year, the sales were $2,212.00, for a decrease of $1,022.00. The average for the five growers/vendors is $299.40. For the sixteen weeks, the total sales are $43,829.00 vs. $43,070, last year, for a positive of $759.00.
It was a very hot and muggy day. The Spink’s Farm dropped out because of a shortage of produce. We saw a big drop in customers starting around 3:45 and almost none after 4 PM. It just wasn’t one of our better days. Here’s hoping we’ll see more attending the next two weeks.
I’d like to close this report with the following thought; “Camping; where you spend a small fortune to live like a homeless person.” I hope this finds “all y’all” in good health and spirits.
