Tyrenda Jerona Williams-Reed (Ty) is a Realtor (R) and professional organizer who owns Cameo Closets. She is a communications and Human Resources generalist with professional certifications as an APR (Accredited in Public Relations), PHR (Professional in Human Resources) and CPSP (Certified Plan Sponsor Professional). She has a master’s degree in journalism and Latin American and Caribbean Studies from New York University and received a bachelor’s degree from Birmingham-Southern College. She was the Birmingham Business Journal’s 2016 recipient of the Women to Watch award. In 2001, she received the honor of serving as a guest professor of English and American Culture at Kodolanyi Janos University College in Szekesfehervar, Hungary. In 1997, she became the first African-American to win America’s Junior Miss (Distinguished Young Women) in the program’s 40-year history. She currently resides in Gardendale, Alabama with her husband Jon Reed, Colgate University ’95, of Sudbury, Massachusetts with their two daughters Emma Lee and Lila Mae where they attend Gardendale First Baptist Church.
